Louis Contaldi, Jr.

Louis Michael Contaldi Jr., beloved brother, husband, father, and grandfather, passed away on Tuesday, June 18, 2024, surrounded by his loved ones after a courageous three-year battle with Stage 4 Pancreatic Cancer. He was 61 years old.

Louis was born in Orange, NJ, and was a lifelong resident of Fairfield, NJ, before settling in Parsippany, NJ. He graduated from SUNY Farmingdale with an associate degree in Landscape Design. Louis began his career in landscaping with "Superlawns" and later founded his own successful business, Ahead Lawn and Landscaping.

Louis will be remembered for his generosity, kindness, and sincerity. He was a constant source of support to his friends, family, and neighbors. Louis is survived by his devoted wife of 35 years, Frances M. Contaldi of Parsippany, NJ, and his children: Louis M. Contaldi III and his wife, Audrey, of Nashville, TN; Krista Kelly and her husband, John, of The Bronx, NY; Matthew Contaldi of Boston, MA; and Kyle Contaldi of Parsippany, NJ. He is also survived by his cherished grandson, Dean L. Contaldi.

Louis is also survived by his brothers: Michael Contaldi and his partner, Caroline Dwyer, of Shrewsbury, NJ; and Gregory Contaldi Sr. and his wife, Kathleen, of Fairfield, NJ. He was predeceased by his parents, Louise and Louis Contaldi Sr. of Fairfield, NJ.

In lieu of flowers, donations in Louis’s memory may be made to the Pancreatic Cancer Action Network, 1500 Rosecrans Avenue, Suite 200, Manhattan Beach, CA 90266, or St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 Saint Jude Place, Memphis, TN 38105.

Relatives, friends, neighbors, and acquaintances are kindly invited to attend visitation on Thursday, June 20, 2024, from 2:00-4:00 pm and 7:00-9:00 pm at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. All are invited to gather at the Funeral Home Friday, June 21, 2024 at 9:30 am prior to the Funeral Mass for Louis which will be held at 11:00 am at St. Peter the Apostle Church, Parsippany, NJ.
