Louis D. Lasher

Lasher, Louis D. , 87, of Edgewater, New Jersey on April 2, 2014. Beloved husband of the late Maureen (nee Murray) Lasher. Loving father of Lureen & her husband Luke Ong and Louis M. & his wife Lena Lasher. Cherished grandfather of Lenine & Lemny Lasher and Brendan & Olivia Ong. Mr. Lasher was a veteran of the US Army serving from 1945-1956 in both WWII and the Korean War. He was a member of American Legion Post 116 and was an integral part of the construction of the building in 1962. He was an iron worker in New York City in the early 1970s. Louis was a civil service worker for the Borough of Edgewater for 24 years before retiring in 1989. Mr. Lasher was a shad fisherman and after his retirement he enjoyed working on the river fishing and mending nets.
