Loving father of Gina & her husband Michael Hayek, John Salvato III & his wife Patricia & Peter Salvato & his wife Tammy. Dear brother of Nicholas Guardabascio. Cherished grandfather of Michael & his wife Dana, Anthony, Daniel, Gabrielle, John, Sophia, Kristen & Lyndon. Louis is predeceased by his parents Nicholas & Frances Guardabascio. Mr. Guardabascio was a Lieutenant for the Essex County Correction Facility before becoming Chief of Staff. He was the President of the PBA and the SOA. Funeral Wednesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More RC Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
