Louise Phyllis Contaldi

Louise Contaldi (nee Spina) passed away Friday afternoon, May 26, 2017 surrounded by her loving family. Louise was 82 years old.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend a memorial mass at St. Thomas More Church, Fairfield, NJ on Saturday, June 3rd, 2017 at 10:00 am.

A native of West Orange, NJ, Louise was born in Orange, NJ and moved to Fairfield, NJ where she lived for past 56 years. Louise graduated from St. Mary's Hospital School of Nursing in 1956 and worked at both St. Mary's Hospital and Alps Manor Nursing Home where she was the Supervisor of Nursing.

Louise will be fondly remembered by all who knew her for her endless love and support of her family and friends but also the kind gestures towards the sick and less fortunate who may have crossed her path.

She is survived by her husband of almost 60 years, Louis M. Contaldi Sr. and her children, Michael Contaldi and his partner Caroline Dywer of Shrewsbury, NJ, Louis M. Contaldi Jr. and his wife Frances of Parsippany, NJ, and Gregory C. Contaldi and his wife Kathleen of Fairfield, NJ.

Louise is also survived by her beloved eight grandchildren who were the light of her life. They are Lauren and her husband William McBain, Michael Jr., Louis III and his fiance Audrey, Krista, Matthew, Gregory, Brian and Kyle.

Also, Louise is survived by her two siblings, Phyllis Fleno and her husband William of Rocky Hill, CT. and Charles Spina and his wife Barbara of Verona, NJ. as well as a brother-in-law, Joseph Maglione of New Port Richie, FL.

She is predeceased by her sister Agnes Maglione.
