Luisa Pratts

On Monday, November 2, 2020, Luisa Nieves Pratts, loving mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully at age 90. Luisa was born on October 14, 1930 to Andres and Justina Nieves Rodriguez. She moved to New York City, after her parents passing, at the age of 14. She married twice and raised six children. Luisa was a strong, brave, fearless, resilient woman. She was a very strong faithful woman of God. Luisa lived for her children. She loved them all unconditionally. Luisa was also a great story teller. To listen to her stories was like watching an old movie, reliving every descriptive detail. She had an amazing sense of humor, always making people laugh. Luisa was also a great cook. She poured her heart and soul into her food and enjoyed making delicious dishes for everyone. Luisa was preceded in death by her father, Andres and her mother, Justina and her youngest son, Anthony, and her brothers, Daniel, Enrique and Julio. She is survived by her five remaining children, Millie and husband Juan, Mary Jane and husband Philip, Alan, George and wife Jeannette, Mimi and husband Neil, along with her brothers, Antonio and Juan, ten grand children, Juarline, Johnny, Mateo, Eric, Julian, Justin, Jason, Denise, Sydney and Jake, four great grand children, Nico, Maya, Julianna and Cheyenne, and many nieces and nephews. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, November 5th, 2020 at the Caiola Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ, from 9am to 11am. Immediate burial will follow at St. Gertrude Cemetery, at 53 Inman Ave. Colonia, NJ.
