She gained worldwide renown for her knowledge and skills in the areas of textiles and fashion, as well as her exuberant and inimitable spirit and personality. Her experience in the upper echelons of international commerce was constantly sought out by specialists in her field from North America, Europe and Asia. She was a life and career mentor to many. Her professional and personal travels took her to many countries around the world where she expressed her special appreciation for cultures and their nuances. Her time was not solely devoted to her work, as she was a great lover of the arts and music. Her greatest love was for her family. She devoted her time and love to them across the generations. She was the beloved mother of Christine (late John), Dean (Hilda), Lisa (Dennis) and Kerry. She was also the proud grandmother of seven girls and great grandmother of two children.
