Marceline Elizabeth Pace

September 28, 1933 — February 28, 2016

Marceline E. Pace of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, known by all as "Marcy", was born September 28, 1933 to the late Anthony Merlo & Margaret Merlo in Newark, NJ. She worked as a Registrar at the Newark College of Engineering and finally as the office manager for the successful family business, Mohawk Appliance & Refrigeration. Marcy met the love of her life, Peter Pace, at a dance at the Teterboro Country Club, and they then danced together for the next 59 years. It was seemingly fit being that she danced in a professional dance troupe for 20 years and had a deep passion for the arts. Marcy was a firecracker and so full of life that she lit up the room wherever she went. With an unmatched personality and vibrant sense of humor, Marcy always had friends and loved ones rolling on the floor laughing at her stories. Befitting her entertaining personality, she and her husband Peter found joy participating in clown conventions in Asbury Park, NJ. For the last 25 years, Marcy and Peter were also lucky enough to enjoy their wonderful friends and breathtaking views of Longboat Key, FL. Marcy is survived by her husband Peter Pace, brother Bobby Merlo, her children: Linda Tulp & her husband Thomas Tulp; Philip Pace and partner Connie Zhou; & Doreen Pace. She is also survived by her 4 grandchildren: Brianna Tulp, Thomas Tulp, Jr., Alyssa Tulp and Bella Pace that she cherished dearly as well as numerous nieces and nephews. Funeral Thursday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 2-4 & 7-9PM.
