Margaret Manassy

Margaret Manassy(nee Rozembersky), 94, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 28, 2014 at home. She was predeceased by her beloved husband Francis in 2004. She is survived by her two children Ladislaus John, daughter-in-law Eileen and Angela McGraham; her sister, Angela Pentik; 5 grandchildren, Erika Miller married to John, Deanna Sternefeld married to Mark, Erik Manassy married to Noriana, Andrea Berthlot married to Fred and Michael Manassy married to Natasha, and 12 great-grandchildren, Marianna, Marissa, Mark, David, Carolyn, Vivienne, Olivia, Jake, Maximus, Juliette, Remington and Josie.
She was born in Carteret, NJ in 1920 and raised in Hungary where she married during the war and had two children. She returned with her children to the US in 1949. She lived in NYC where she was a member of St. Stephen of Hungary parish. She belonged to the Mothers Club and the church choir. She worked for Geoffrey Beene and Bill Blass and retired in 1989. Her hobbies included gardening and she was a very gifted artist. In 1966 she moved to Fairfield, NJ and became a member of St. Thomas More parish.
Funeral Saturday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 4-8 PM.
