Margaret Margie Rotondi

Margaret (Margie) Rotondi, passed away peacefully at the home of her devoted son Dr. John T. Rotondi & his wife, Mary. Margie was born in Newark, NJ on April 17, 1915 to Gaetano & Florence Brodo. The family moved to Bloomfield, NJ in her youth where she graduated Bloomfield High School and was later employed by Liberty Mutual Insurance Company. She remained a resident of Bloomfield until 2008, when she moved to Robbinsville, NJ to enjoy life with her son and daughter-in-law. She is joined in everlasting peace with her beloved and cherished husband, Amadeo (Matty) Rotondi and was also preceded in death by her parents, her sisters Kay Mascia, Anne Achard, and Beatrice Phillips, and brothers George and Dan Brodo. Along with her devoted son "Jack" his wife Mary, Margie leaves behind loving grandchildren Natalie Gall & her husband Tom and Thomas Bello, along with four adoring greatgrandchildren Alexandra, Olivia, Samantha & Thomas. She will be sorely missed by her loving cousin, Catherine Brodo, and loving nephew Thomas Albanese, nieces Theresa Albanese, Marie Gatto & her husband Gene. Margie will be remembered for her cheerful and generous nature, and her fashionable style. All who knew her remember her as one of the kindest people you could ever meet. She devoted much of her time and energy as a caregiver for family members, including her parents until they passed away at age 96. She took pleasure in spending time with family, many dear friends, and particularly children. She enjoyed music, dancing, and delighted in singing Italian favorites. Funeral Monday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Lucy's Church, Newark. Interment will follow at Mount Olivet Cemetery, Bloomfield.
