Aveni, Maria (nee D'Angelo), of Toms River, NJ on Wednesday, May 5, 2004. Beloved wife of the late Domenico Aveni. Loving mother and mother-in-law of Agatha "Tina" and Joseph Marangi of West Caldwell and Rosalinda and Paolo LoGiudice of Mount Olive. Dear sister of Benedetto D'Angelo and the late Tony D'Angelo and Lillia Pantaleo. Cherished grandmother of Marisa Rizzo, Angela Van Houten, Anthony and Victoria Marangi, Nicholas and Vincent DeNicola. Cherished great-grandmother of Nicole and Frankie Rizzo, Jacklyn and John Van Houten and Gianna Marangi. Mrs. Marangi was a streamstress for Fashion Sport Coat Company in Newark for 20 years before retiring in 1984 and also belonged to the I.L.G.W.U. She lived most of her life in Newark, moving to Toms River 15 years ago. Funeral Friday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM at Our Lady of the Blessed Sacrament, Roseland. Entombment Gate of Heaven Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
