Maria Zoe Cruz

Maria Zo Cruz, aged 70, passed away peacefully on January 24, 2017, at Hackensack University Hospital. Maria was born on June 1, 1946, in San German, Puerto Rico, the daughter of Ramon Octavio Collazo & Maria Maximina Collazo. Maria loved cooking, dancing, listening to music, traveling and taking care of her family. In 1964, Maria married the love of her life, Juan Cruz, and they shared 53 years together. They started a family in Brooklyn and moved to Jersey City, NJ to raise them. Maria is survived by 10 siblings and her husband Juan Cruz; 4 children (Jean Cruz-Rivera, Melissa Cruz-Nagelbush, Emely Cruz, Jason Cruz); sons and daughter-in-law (Eddie Rivera, Jr., Richard Nagelbush, Wanda Cruz); 9 grandchildren (Justin Santiago, Jonathan Santiago, Cristylee Nagelbush, Christopher Rivera (deceased), Jacob Rivera, Jasmine Zo Poventud, Joshua Poventud, Jillian Cruz, Jordan Cruz, Jackson Cruz); and many nieces, nephews, other relatives and close friends. Funeral Saturday 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11AM Queen of Peace R.C. Church. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. Friends will be received Thursday & Friday 2-4 and 7-9PM.
