Marie "Mary" Merlo, 92, of Succassuna, New Jersey, passed away peacefully Thursday, February 8, 2018. Marie was born and raised in the Bronx, NYC. She moved to Fort Lee, NJ with her loving husband Carmine where she worked at home as an embroiderer for the family business for many years and raised her family. After her beloved Carmine passed away, Marie moved to Succassuna, NJ where she lived for the past 20 years. Marie was also predeceased by her brothers, Phillip and Mario Casatelli and her sisters Theresa Callahan and Rose Roberts. Surviving are her sons, Phillip and Kenneth Merlo, her daughter Stephanie Magdziak & her husband Michael Magdziak and her grandchildren, Nicole & Kyle Magdziak and Nell Merlo, daughter-in-law Charlotte Neuville and many "favorite" nephews & nieces. Funeral Tuesday 10AM from the Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Funeral Mass 11AM Madonna Church on the Hill. Interment to directly follow at the Madonna Cemetery. Friends will be received Monday 2-4 & 7-9PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Armenian Nursing Home, 70 Main Street, Emerson NJ 07630.
