Marilyn Moore

Marilyn J. Moore, 78, died peacefully on May 21, 2009 at the Hospice of New Jersey, St. Joseph's Hospital, Wayne, NJ.
Born in New York, New York, Marilyn lived in Ridgefield, NJ for over 50 years before moving to Cedar Crest Village, Pompton Plains, NJ two years ago. She graduated in June 1952 with BA degree from Good Counsel College (Pace University) in White Plains, NY.
Before retiring in June 2007, she was a customer service consultant with Unilever in Englewood Cliffs, NJ. Prior to that she worked as a branch manager for United Jersey Bank.
Marilyn loved to travel and enjoyed the New Jersey shore with her friends and family. She was an avid Mets fan and bridge player and enjoyed writing for and acting in local theatre.
She is survived by her four loving children and their spouses: Helene Kennedy and her husband John; Lawrence Kansky, Jr. and his wife Irene; Martin Kansky and his wife Teresa; Matthew Kansky and his wife Michele; and her brother Rev. Ward P. Moore. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Elizabeth, Michael and Kevin Kennedy; Christine, Jessica, Ken and Faith Kansky. She was predeceased by her sister Derris Oddo.
Visiting will be held at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ, on Tuesday, May 26, 2009 from 2-4 and 7-9 pm. A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered on Wednesday, May 27, 2009, at 11:00 a.m. at St. Thomas More Church in Fairfield, NJ. Interment is private.
