Mario "Nick" Anthony Nicaretta

Mario "Nick" Anthony Nicaretta, 82, of North Arlington, New Jersey, passed away, surrounded by his family on Friday, December 27, 2019. Mario is survived by his loving wife Margaret ”Peggy” of 58 years, son Dr. Michael Nicaretta & his wife Lori, daughter Nancy Nicaretta Rapisardi & her husband Dean, and daughter Audrey Nicaretta. He was also the brother of the late Elsie Zimmer and the late Gino Nicaretta and the adored grandfather of Allison Rapisardi and Natalie & Cameron Nicaretta. Mario worked professionally as an engineer for 40+ years. He was also an accomplished photographer and received many accolades for his industrial & nature photographs. He loved sports and was an especially “passionate” fan of the NY Giants and NY Yankees. He was a proud member of the Tri-Caliber Gun Club and lifelong member of the NRA, achieving the nationally recognized skill level of distinguished expert. Mario AKA "Nick" was not only a loving father, husband, grandfather, he had a wonderful sense of humor and became a friend for life to everyone who had the honor of knowing him. Friends & family will be received Thursday, January 2, 2020 from 4-8PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass for Mario will be on Friday January 3rd, 10AM at Queen of Peace R.C. Church. He will then be laid to rest at Holy Cross Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of your choice in Mr. Nicaretta's name, which he would say would be “Marvelous”.
