Mario Santangelo

With heavy hearts we announce the passing of Mario Santangelo, a beloved father, grandfather, brother, and friend. Born on November 27, 1951 in Stio, Salerno, Italy to Antonio and Pasqualina before immigrating to Jersey City in 1967. It was there that Mario began his work with PSE&G. He worked his way up the ranks before retiring as a District Supervisor. He was known for his unwavering commitment to his career where his leadership and kindness left a lasting impact on his colleagues.

Above all else, he cherished his family, his most joy was seen when spending time with his children but most importantly, his grandchildren. Beloved father of Lina & her husband CJ Moore, Antonio & his wife Ava Marie Santangelo, and Jenifer Santangelo. Proud grandfather of Angelina, Isabella, Gia, and the late Giulianna. Cherished brother of Victoria, and the late Aniello and Geraldo Santangelo. Loving brother-in-law of Lucia Santangelo, &his former wife Pasqualina & her husband Dr. David Bikoff. Also survived by many nieces, nephews, extended family members and his life long friend Domenico Tomba and Family. 

 Friends and family are invited to celebrate Mario's life during a visitation at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd. Lyndhurst, on Tuesday 4-8PM. A Mass of Christian Burial will be held at Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church, Lyndhurst, Wednesday 10AM. Entombment Holy Cross Chapel Mausoleum. In remembrance of Mario, let us carry forward his spirit of kindness and dedication, sharing stories and memories that honor the incredible man he was. His legacy will live on in the hearts of all who knew him. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Make A Wish NJ Chapter in honor of his support for Team Giulianna.
