Martin J. Vergaretti

Martin J. Vergaretti, 60, passed away at his home on January 12, 2017. He was a lifelong Bayonne resident who marched to the beat of his own drum. In his youth Marty played quarterback for Bayonne Pop Warner Jr. Bees and later became assistant coach. He graduated Bayonne High School excelling in Math and later attended Rutgers University. He held various jobs throughout his life. Marty was an avid Bruce Springsteen fan. He loved to play the piano. His two favorite pieces were "The Impossible Dream" and "Blue Moon" which we always loved to hear. Martin was pre-deceased by his beloved parents Alfred and Catherine Vergaretti and his brother Roger. Survived by his siblings David P. Vergaretti & Kathleen, Catherine Mosca & Giro, Cecelia Vergaretti & Jay Landreth, Libby Lodge & Kamm, and Alicia Welborn & Bryan. Cremation is private. A memorial service will be held on Saturday January 21, 2017 from 1-3pm at Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home 691 Avenue C Bayonne NJ.
