Mary C Palagonia

Mary (nee Gerratano) Palagonia, 83, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey passed away on Saturday, January 29.2022. Beloved wife of Philip Palagonia, Jr. Loving mother of Phil & his wife Donna Palagonia and Denise & her husband Tom O'Brien. Cherished grandmother of Eric, Christina & her fiance Brenner, Dana, Olivia, and Thomas. Dear sister of Manny & his wife Susie Gerratano. Mrs. Palagonia was a member of the Italian American Women's Auxiliary of North Arlington. She enjoyed staying active and lifting weights at the LA Fitness in Kearny. Mary was loved by all who knew her, she loved spending time with family and friends whether that was traveling, cooking, baking or having ice cream. At an event her shoes would always match her purse and you were sure to find her with her husband singing and dancing. When spending the night at her children's house she would pack her "diva bag" of makeup and lotions and always had a bag full of shoes. Her grandchildren were her world and if they happened to mention that they liked something of hers she would immediately offer it to them to have. She was a wonderful woman inside and out and will be missed by all. Memorial Mass Saturday 12:30PM Our Lady of Mount Carmel Church. Friends will be received Saturday at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst Saturday 9AM - 12Noon. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Visiting Nurse Association Health Group Hospice, c/o Foundation Office, 23 Main Street, Suite D1, Holmdel, NJ 07733.
