Mary E. Fennell-Clarke

Mary E. Fennell-Clarke, 76, of Fort Lee, NJ, departed this life on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Holy Name Hospital, Teaneck, NJ. A Memorial Service is planned to celebrate Mary's life on Saturday, June 18, 2011, 1-2:30 PM at Hunt-Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee. Mary was the second of five children, born to the late James & Maude Fennell in Goldsboro, NC. She was educated in Goldsboro City Schools. After graduating from High School, Mary relocated to NY and then to NJ where she began to carve out a life for herself. Mary's love of children prompted her to seek employment in the Bergen County Head Start Programs in Fort Lee, Edgewater and Englewood, where she received many awards and certificates for her excellence in their care and education. She is survived by her sister Ruth Fennell of NY; a brother Carl Fennell of Dover, DE; Aunt Hattie Fennell-Mitchell of Newark, NJ; three sisters-in-law; two nieces; four nephews; grandnephews; cousins; other relatives; a host of friends & devoted friend Carolyn Clavell. Mary will truly be missed by all.
