Mary Pelleteri, 94, passed away quietly at Green Acres Nursing Home in Lakewood, NJ on Friday July 14.
Born January 20th, 1923 to Ignazo and Caroline Lembo in Hoboken, NJ Mary was wed to Ronald Pelleteri on January 20,1962. They were happily married for 37 years. They owned and operated King Cone on the corner of Sanford Avenue and Riverside Avenue for many years.
Mary was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst after moving from Hoboken in 1930. She was an active member of Mount Carmel Roman Catholic Church and sang in the choir for over twenty years. Mary loved to sing and dance, and was a gracious host to countless holiday meals, Sunday dinners and family celebrations.
Mary was pre-deceased by her son William Coronato and her husband Ronald Pelleteri. She is survived by her only remaining sibling Grace Accardi, 92, of Port St. Lucie, Fl, her daughter Judith Cuneo and husband Ronald of Lakewood, NJ and Daughter-in-law Susan Coranato of Mt. Pocono, PA. Grandchildren include Robyne Rasa, of Wayne, NJ, Laura Zalewski of Rockaway, NJ, Marcia Daniels and husband Jay of East Stroudsburg, PA and Susan Henry and husband Ryan of Cresco, PA.
She leaves behind three great-grandchildren, Alexandria and Joseph Rasa of Wayne, NJ and Ava Daniels of East Stroudsburg, PA. She will be missed by cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends.
Friends will be received Tuesday 2-6PM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst.
