Mary Sobol

Mary Sobol, 96, formerly of Bayonne, passed away peacefully on Wednesday, August 5, 2020. She was born in and lived most of her life in Bayonne, moving to Florida in 2017. She was predeceased by her beloved parents Valery and Mary Sobol, brother Walter Sobol, sister Nina Dujinski, and twin sister Sonia (Sophie) Sobol. She was the cherished aunt of Deborah Tiernan (James), Dale Dujinski Geene (Ronald), Donna Laura (Robert), and Gregory Sobol (Jules Huang). After graduating Bayonne High School she worked as a secretary at Koster Realty Co. in Jersey City. During World War II she worked at Western Electric Co. as a secretary in the engineering dept. She then worked as an executive secretary to the vice president at Colgate Palmolive Co. in New York City until her retirement. She was formerly a member of Young at Heart and the Bayonne Chapter of Deborah Foundation. Private Arrangements under the direction of Koch Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne, NJ 07002.
