MaryAnn Corino, 62, of North Caldwell, NJ on Tuesday, May 22, 2012 at St. Barnabas Hospital in Livingston after a courageous and dignified struggle with ALS. Born and raised in Lyndhurst, MaryAnn was a lifelong resident of Lyndhurst before moving to North Caldwell in 1995. She was the beloved mother of Anthony Corino, daughter of the late Daniel & Sarah Coranoto, and is survived by her brother Daniel Coranoto & his wife Maria, sister Barbara Morales Coranoto, her loving dalmatian Domino, nieces Rita & Christina, nephews Paul, Raymond & Ronald, Aunt Amelia, greatniece Rina and greatnephew Aidan. MaryAnn was a passionate family leader and organizer who lived and loved with a deep affection for family and friends. MaryAnn earned her B.A. degree from the College of New Jersey (formerly TSC) and her M.A. in education from William Paterson University. She had a distinguished teaching career in the Lyndhurst School District for 27 years as an elementary teacher with a special expertise in history and social studies. MaryAnn was a devoted, active member of the Notre Dame Parish. She loved the impact she had on a child's life as a teacher and was a lover of God's earthly creations, animals, music, who had a special appreciation for the America's National Parks. Funeral Friday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10 AM Notre Dame R.C. Church, North Caldwell. Interment St. Nicholas Cemetery, Lodi. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM. In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions may be made to Notre Dame Parish, North Caldwell Humane Society, National Parks Foundation, ASPCA and/or St. Barnabas Hospice would be appreciated.
