Melinda "Mema" Mari (Hill), 82, of Bayonne, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, August 9, 2021. Loving mother of Joann & her late husband Paul Weimmer, Joseph & his wife Donna Mari, Greta & her late husband Kevin Miller, Donna Mari, the late Edward Mari, and Linda Mari & her husband Dariusz Goralczyk. Cherished grandmother of Alexander Goralczyk, Christian Goralczyk, Kristina & husband Sheridan Gargarita, Clyde & wife Roxzanne Mari, James Mari, ToniAnn Moench, Kevin Miller, Annmarie & husband Shane Meininger, Christopher Miller, Anthony Miller, Greta Miller, Anthony & wife Dawn Weimmer, Stacy & husband Nicholas Sorace, Margret Weimmer, Erica & husband Thomas Sicco, Paul Weimmer, Joseph Mari, Nichole Mari and Jonathan Mari. Adored great-grandmother of Anthony Weimmer, Madison Weimmer, Michael Sorace, Aidan Petisco, Alexander Petisco, Evan Weimmer, Isabella Sicco, Mila Sicco, Derek Peterson, Isabella Peterson, Jenny Peterson, Harley Meininger, Jensen Meininger, Riley Miller, Josh Miller, Kyle Dickson, Lucas Dickson, Tiffany Gottfried, Arianna Gottfried, Isabella Gargarita, Jason Mari, Makayla Mari, Giselle Mari and David Mari. Dear sister of the late John & his late wife Margre Hill, the late Joseph & his late wife Helga Hill, Diane & her late husband Leonard Schaefer, Kathryn & her late husband Jack Kelly, Donald & his wife Marge Hill, and Sandra & her late husband James Thompson. Beloved friend of Joanne Malawich and Linda Gonzalez. She loved her Hill and Hilinski family very much as well. Her final days were spent in the Community Medical Center in Toms River, New Jersey, being pampered by her loving family members. She will be remembered as a loving, kind, giving and caring soul who loved everyone. Mrs. Mari was a member of the International Order of the Rainbow for Girls, the Brownies (Freemasons/Masonic Lodge), an elder on the Board of Trustees for The First Federated Church who enjoyed reading to children and helped fundraise all church activities. She graduated from Washington Elementary School and Bayonne High School class of 1957. Her first job was working for Hartford Insurance in New York City and also worked for Haddad Brands, Bayonne Community News, Jersey Journal Newspaper, Salvation Army, Irwin's Toy Store, Bookazine and the Bayonne Board of Education for 20 years as a teacher's aide and loved working with the children, especially at Midtown Community School. She also volunteered to help the Bayonne Feral Cat and Animal Foundation and worked as a Poll Worker for the New Jersey Division of Elections. She enjoyed spending time with family, playing the lottery, socializing, bingo, and had a great love for her dogs, her favorite color was blue. Her big dream was to hit the Mega Millions! Funeral Service Monday, 11:30AM at the Caiola-Stellato Funeral Home, 691 Avenue C, Bayonne. Graveside Service 12:30PM at Holy Cross Cemetery, North Arlington. Friends will be received Monday 10AM-12PM.
