Miriam Davis

Davis, Miriam (nee Orzechowski), 94, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, April 14, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Burton S. Davis, Sr. Loving mother of Burton S. Davis, Jr. and Susan D. Meek. Cherished grandmother of Amanda, Lori, Jessica & Jennifer. Adored great-grandmother of Logan, Evan, Dean, Ava, Veronica & Lucian. Mrs. Davis was a member of the Lyndhurst United Methodist Church, a past president of United Methodist Women (UMW) at the church, past district officer and conference officer of UMW and involved on many church committees. She was a former den mother for BSA Pack 89, past president of Columbus School PTA, a member of Bergen County Council of PTAS and American Legion Auxiliary Barringer Post. She studied art under her grandfather, Gustov Gurgemon, renowned for ceiling and wall murals. Most of Miriam's work was done on fine china. Funeral Tuesday at 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Service Monday at 7PM. Cremation to follow at East Ridgelawn Crematory.
