Nancy Bella Escalante

August 18, 1958 — April 22, 2020

On Wednesday, April 22nd, 2020, Nancy Bella Escalante (nee: Novillo), loving wife, daughter, sister, and mother, ascended to heaven at the young age of 61. Born on August 18th, 1958, in Guayaquil, Ecuador to Segundo Tarquino Novillo and Elena Beatriz Robalino, Nancy was a loving older sister to Mildred Marisol Martinez (nee: Novillo). Proud graduate of The Colegio Santa Maria Mazzarello, Nancy furthered her education and obtained a Bachelor's degree in Economics, Statistics, and Accounting. She married her life long partner and soulmate, Sixto Guillermo Escalante civilly on December 22nd, 1979, and ecclesiastically on February 14th, 1980. Together they affectionately raised three children: Vivian Elena Escalante, Daniel Guillermo Escalante, and Chris Alexis Escalante-Bajrami.

Nancy was a dedicated, hard-working employee at Takasago International Corp, USA. Her coworkers rejoiced in her presence, whose large smile and tender hugs would light up a room while bringing happiness. She would have celebrated her 20 years of commitment to Takasago this August 2020 and retired soon thereafter to start a new stage in her life alongside her husband and son, awaiting weddings and grandchildren from her two daughters. Disliking the term "in-laws" she whole-heartedly accepted Michael Ribot and Egest Bajrami as her own sons and their parents as her own siblings.

Nancy had a passion for creating everlasting bonds with all those who met her along the walk of life. She loved to travel and continuously thought of others who would have loved to be by her side. Nancy and Sixto showed their adoration for each other through Spanish dancing, smiling, and laughing with every step, never losing the beat to their love. As a philanthropist, Nancy was dedicated to collect funds and support students of the Colegio Santa Maria Mazzarello through scholarships and grants.

Nancy was preceded in death by her father, Segundo Tarquino. She is survived by her mother Elena Beatriz, her sister Mildred Marisol Martinez, her husband Sixto Guillermo, and their three children Vivian Elena, Daniel Guillermo, and Chris Alexis.

Her funeral will be held on Tuesday, April 28th, 2020, at the Stellato Funeral Home in Lyndhurst, NJ, at 11 am. She will then travel to her final destination, accompanied by her mourning family, at the Hillside Cemetery in Lyndhurst at 12:30 pm, with a beautiful view of the New York Skyline.

The Escalante family will continue to honor her legacy and set forth the example of the phenomenal woman Nancy was.
