Nicholas C. Cerreto, 67, of Verona, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, August 7, 2017. Beloved husband of 45 years to Donna Cerreto (nee D'Alessio). Devoted son of Gerry (nee Marchione) & the late Nicholas Cerreto. Loving brother of Debbie Godwin & her husband Richard. Dear uncle of Joshua, James, Laura, Donna, Christina, Alissa, Nick & Richard. Cherished grand uncle of Nathan & Sienna. Also survived by many loving cousins & Aunt Mary Ann. Mr. Cerreto was an Army veteran serving in the Vietnam War and was a detective with the Essex County Sheriff's Department. Funeral Saturday 9:30AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10:30AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Glendale Cemetery, Bloomfield. Friends will be received Friday 4-8PM.
