Nicholas Ryan Mauriello

It is with a heavy heart that I announce the passing of my precious son, Nicholas Ryan Mauriello.

Nicholas was born on December 2, 1996 and passed away on April 12, 2025 His untimely death leaves an irreplaceable hole in my heart and in all who knew and loved him, he was only 28 years old..

Nicholas moved from New Jersey to Georgia when he was 4 years old. He graduated at the top of his class in 2015 from Salem High School in Conyers, GA. He played the trumpet, was a member of the National Honor Society and won numerous Math awards. Nicholas moved back to New Jersey at the age of 23. He was a gentle soul and always gave the best hugs! Nicholas was not only intelligent and thoughtful but also incredibly generous, he was always willing to lend a hand or share a smile, impacting the lives of many.

Nicholas loved his momma. He was her "cling on" and best friend! He was silly and sweet and will be forever missed. It gives me comfort to know that his Papa is taking care of him in heaven.

Nicholas left behind his beloved mother Linda Mauriello, his loving brother Frank Mauriello and nieces Julianna & Norris Brown. He was the cherished grandson of Katalin and the late Joseph Petocz, adored nephew of Katherine Gaspar (Russell Bethon) and Joseph Petocz (Christina). Treasured cousin of Ferenc Gaspar (Kathryn & Cayden), Samantha Wehner (Daniel & Carter Rae), Jacqueline, Joseph and Dylan Petocz, and his best friend, Jules Ortiz and his parents who will remember him dearly.

A Memorial Service will be held on Tuesday, April 22, 2025 from 10AM-12PM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield, NJ. A Chapel Service immediately following at Laurel Grove Mausoleum, 295 Totowa Road, Totowa, NJ.
