Pasquale "Patsy" Matarazzo

Matarazzo, Pasquale (Patsy), July 24, 1921 - July 18, 2016. Predeceased by his devoted wife of nearly 70 years Mary (nee Cherubini). Patsy is survived by his three loving and caring children Patrick Matarazzo, Dr. Thomas Matarazzo and his wife Barbara, Diane Handschin and her husband Michael, seven grandchildren Ida-Marie and her husband James Mascolo, Patrick and his wife Carol Matarazzo, Dina and her husband Joseph Vitorino, Robert Matarazzo, Michael Handschin, Samantha Matarazzo, and Ryan Handschin, his two great-grandchildren P.J. and Owen Matarazzo, his sister Josephine Paulovich and many loving nieces, nephews, and cousins. He is predeceased by his parents Gaetana and Antonio Matarazzo, his sisters Mary DeOrio, Mildred Focarelli, and his brother Michael Matarazzo. Patsy was originally from Fairview, NJ but lived in Cliffside Park, NJ for his entire marriage. He also held residence in West Milford, NJ and Vista, CA. He owned and operated a successful insurance and accounting business from his home in Cliffside Park for over 50 years. He was a Navy veteran who served during World War II. He also served as president of the Cliffside Park Lions Club. He was a generous and selfless husband, father, grandfather, great-grandfather, brother, and friend. Patsy will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him. Funeral Thursday at 9AM from the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, NJ. Funeral Mass 10AM Our Lady of Grace R.C. Church. Interment Madonna Cemetery. Friends will be received Wednesday 4-8PM.
