Patricia Ann Kruger

Patricia Ann Kruger (nee Clark), 88, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, April 18, 2018. Beloved wife of John "Jack" P. Kruger. Loving mother of Laurie Altomare & her husband Anthony, John Kruger, Jr. & his wife Anides, Thomas Kruger & his wife Linda and Scott Kruger & his wife Elena. Cherished grandmother of Thomas John Kruger, Danielle Kruger, Brittany Kruger, Matthew Kruger, Kathleen Altomare & Isabella Kruger. Dear sister of the late Muriel Coleman and Gertrude Clark. Patricia was born and raised in New York City and moved to New Jersey after meeting and marrying her husband Jack, where they spent the rest of their life together. Mrs. Kruger attended Hunter College in New York City and then received her Masters Degree from Fairleigh Dickinson University while working full time and raising her four children. She was a Physical Education teacher and worked for Kearny Board of Education for over 25 years. In retirement she was a devoted grandmother who loved spending time with her grandchildren, attending their school events, sporting events, and recitals. Patricia enjoyed traveling the world in retirement with her husband Jack and was an active member of the Red Hats. She volunteered at Meadowlands Hospital for many years, taught English at the Lyndhurst Library, and volunteered at the Lyndhurst Food Bank. She was the heart and soul of the family and will be dearly missed. Funeral Saturday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 4-8PM. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Alzheimer's Association, 400 Morris Avenue, Suite 251, Denville NJ 07834.
