Patricia (née Donnelly) Woelpper, of Bergen County, New Jersey, passed away on Thursday, May 16, 2024, peacefully in the presence of family at her daughter’s home in Charlotte, NC. Patricia was born at Wadsworth Hospital in Manhattan, New York, on March 11, 1949. Her parents were Michael Conrad Donnelly and Bridget (née Conolen) Donnelly. At the time of Pat’s birth, the Donnelly family resided in the Bronx, NY. In 1951, the family moved to Union City, NJ, where most of Pat’s childhood memories began. In 1958, the family moved to New Milford, NJ. She graduated from New Milford High School, Class of 1967. She married her late husband, Richard Graham Woelpper, on November 28, 1976. In 1984, they moved to his family home in Lyndhurst, NJ, where they raised their children, Keri Ann and Craig Michael, and resided there for over thirty years.
Pat loved people and getting to know them on a deep and meaningful level. She will be missed by many. Among those are her daughter Keri Ann & her husband David Daniel Collins, and her son Craig Michael & his wife Loni Madeline Woelpper. Adored grandmother of Benjamin Conrad, Anna Elizabeth, Isabella Richelle, and Elisa Natalia. Dear sister of Michael and Kevin Donnelly. Cherished aunt of Gina Valentin, Nicole Pezzola, Robert Brack, Brian Brack, Richard Hammond, Andrew Hammond, Danielle Riley, Kaitlin Woelpper, Meghan Woelpper, and Jillian Maye. Adored by her extended family Barbara Brack, Robert Woelpper, Joan Cignarelli, Robert & Carol Donnelly, and Joanne & James Nehira. Dear friend of Michelle Douvry, Judy & Alois Coreth, Carmen & Paul Patricola, Lissette & Marc Roman, and many more. Her children's chosen families became hers: Hector & Nidia Labatta, Nathy Labatta & Mia Cruz, Junior Labatta and children, David & Cassandra Collins, Tracy Conner and family, and Elizabeth Savino and family.
Pat was an involved participant of the Garden State Pulmonary Fibrosis Support Group and proud volunteer of their annual 5k fundraiser. She was an active member of all of her Catholic Parishes in her life, most notably as a Sunday School Teacher at Our Lady of Mount Carmel in Lyndhurst, NJ, as well as Bible Study Facilitator and Eucharistic Minister at Immaculate Conception in Secaucus, NJ. When she wasn’t doting on her grandchildren, you could find Pat taking bus tours with friends, traveling on family vacations, playing mahjong, praying and saying the rosary, reading, and doing puzzles. Pat never found a detective show she didn’t like. She was a textbook Pisces and loved using the zodiac to describe everyone’s actions. As she wished, Pat spent the last days of her life surrounded by the love and care of her children, grandchildren, siblings and extended family, and her fur grandbaby, Graham.
