Patrick J. D'Aquila

Patrick J. D'Aquila, 85, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away peacefully at home November 4, 2020. He was born and raised in Jersey City, son of the late Patrick & Marie (Tuorto) D'Aquila. Patrick was a veteran who served in the Army during the Korean War and was proud to support his country. After graduating Jersey City State College he founded Culinary Food Sales, the venture which supported his family of 5 for 30+ years. He then pursued real estate as he never wanted to retire. At the age of 82, Patrick started his own real estate brokerage, Patrick J. D'Aquila Realty, under which he mentored his daughter-in-law. He was a past Grand Knight of Fairfield Council 6380. Patrick was always active in the town & local politics. He ran as town Councilman and was an appointed member of the Fairfield Environmental Commission. A proud member of the Golden Agers. He loved gardening, politics, economics and being with family.
He is survived by his beloved wife of 52 years Patricia (nee DiGirolamo). Patrick has three sons he adored and was so proud of, Patrick (& his wife Quynn & grandchildren Ellie & Austin) of Arizona, Mark (& his wife Eden) of North Carolina, and Robert (& his wife Maggie & grandchildren Talon & Hunter) of Little Falls, NJ. He adored his grandchildren and they loved him. Dear brother of Rosalie Raso and Linda D'Aquila of Lyndhurst, NJ. Funeral Service Saturday 2:30PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Friends will be received Saturday 2-4PM. Cremation private. In lieu of flowers donations to St. Jude Children's Research Hospital, 501 St. Jude Place, Memphis TN 38105 may be made.
