Peggy A Ross, a beloved wife, mother, grandmother, sister in law, aunt & cherished friend, passed away peacefully on December 28, 2024, at the age of 71. Born on August 17, 1953, in Newark, New Jersey, Peggy's journey was one marked by love and dedication.
Peggy's life was a testament to the power of love and family. She was the loving heart of her home, a place that was always filled with the warmth of her presence and the smell of her baked goods. Her husband, Michael Ross, was her partner in every sense, sharing with her a life of laughter and love for 53 years. Together, they raised a family that became Peggy's pride and joy: her sons, John and Michael with his wife Georgiana her daughters, Roseann, with her husband Toby, and Tina, with her husband Danny. Each of her children carried a piece of Peggy's spirit, love and attitude.
Peggy's role as a grandmother was one she embraced with every ounce of her being. Her grandchildren were the joy in her life, Christina and her Fiancé Jonathan, Toby, Noah, Matthew, Gabriella, Avani, Savannah, Kyle, and Jonathan. Peggy entered eternal life and will hold her great grandchildren (twins) in her arms until they come to earth.
Peggy was a loving sister to Gale , sister in law to Frederick (Roxanne), Henry (Kathy), Allen (Vhikki), Johnny (Linda), Carol (Moises) and Anthony. She was a cherished friend to sister in laws Patrica and Barbara. She was a loving aunt to many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her Father John Courtney Conners and brother Jacky Conners, her brother in law Robert Ross, Richard Ross (Robin) sister in law Elvira Sorace (Tommy), and sister in law Cookie Ross.
Throughout her life, Peggy found fulfillment in her role as a homemaker, a title she held with pride and excellence. She was the unseen engine of her household, ensuring that everyone was cared for, every need met, and every heart heard. Her hands were rarely still, always busy in the service of those she loved.
Peggy's interests extended beyond the walls of her home. She was a woman who found joy in the simple things: spending time with her grandchildren, making food that would bring smiles to faces, and baking cookies that were the stuff of family legend.
Words seem inadequate to describe the fullness of Peggy's character. She was generous beyond measure, her hands always open to give. She was handy, a fixer of boo-boos and solver of problems big and small. Above all, she was loving—a fount of unconditional love that nourished all who knew her.
Peggy's passing in Belleville, New Jersey, marks the end of an era for those who knew and loved her. Though we mourn the loss of Peggy Ross, we also celebrate a life well-lived.
As Peggy's family, we take solace in the knowledge that her journey was rich with the things that mattered most. We will hold her in our hearts until the end of time, grateful for every moment we were blessed to share with her. Peggy's life was a gift, and her memory will be cherished forever.
