Robert Esposito

November 29, 1950 — January 7, 2025

Robert Esposito (Bob), beloved husband and friend, passed away on January 7, 2025, at the age of 74. Born on November 29, 1950 in Newark, NJ, Robert was the cherished son of the late Alphonso & Carmela (nee Pistolese) Esposito. Robert moved from Newark to Bloomfield, and then settled in East Hanover. His departure leaves a profound void in the lives of those who knew and loved him.

He is survived by his devoted wife, Patricia Esposito, with whom he shared countless memories and a beautiful life. Together, they built a loving home filled with warmth and laughter. His spirit will be forever cherished by Patricia, who was his steadfast partner in life.

A proud veteran, Robert served as a Lance Corporal in the Marine Corps, carrying a deep sense of honor and duty that he maintained throughout his life. His commitment to service extended into his career at the Essex County Sheriff's Department, where he dedicated himself to his community with compassion and integrity.

Robert's love for life was evident in his passions. He was an aficionado of oldies music and classic movies, often sharing the joy of these timeless treasures with his loved ones. His pride and joy was his Lionel Train set, a delightful reflection of his playful spirit and commitment to finding joy in the little things.

Though he has departed from this world, Robert's legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering love will continue to inspire all who had the honor of knowing him.

Friends & family will be received Thursday, January 23, from 4-8 PM. Funeral Friday 9:30 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral mass 10:30 AM St. Lucy's Church, Newark. Entombment to follow at Gate of Heaven Cemetery.
