Robert John Porphy

Robert John Porphy, 80, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Wednesday, May 23, 2018. Beloved husband of the late Patricia Porphy. Loving father of Mary DiCrisci & her husband David. Cherished grandfather of David, Robert, Patrick & Julianne. Dear son-in-law of the late Agnes Lynch. Also survived by beloved nieces & nephews and his two goddaughters Carol Greene and Eileen Losurdo. Mr. Porphy was a Supervisor with the US Postal Service in Jersey City for 33 years. He loved fishing, watching tv and the family dog Molly. He enjoyed breeding and raising fish and he was especially proud of his grandchildren. Funeral Saturday 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10AM Our Lady of Mt. Carmel R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 3-7PM.
