Robert Russell Safar

Robert Russell Safar, 54, of Fairfield, New Jersey, passed away on Monday, October 5, 2020. Beloved son of Russell & Laura (nee Gauthier) Safar. Dear brother of Lynn & her husband Domenico Gianfrancesco. Loving uncle of Christopher Gianfrancesco & his fianc Casey Picardo and Dana Gianfrancesco. Robert was a Meat Distributor for Thumann's for over 20 years working side by side with his dad. He was an EMT for 15 years and worked in both Kearny and Cedar Grove. He was an active member of the Fairfield Reformed Church and the Union Church of Seaside Park and was an Eagle Scout. He enjoyed many activities including bowling, hunting, skiing, boating, karate and had a love for the Jersey shore. Funeral Service Thursday 6:30PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Friends will be received Thursday 4-7PM.
