Rosalie Stellato

Rosalie Stellato(nee Domanico), entered into the loving arms of our Father on April 18 at the age of 92. She passed away in Mendham at the home of her daughter. Rosalie was born on August 8, 1920 to Susan & Joseph Domanico in Lyndhurst, NJ. She grew up in a loving family with her wonderful sisters, Guilida & Eleanor. She spent the next 89 years in her beloved hometown surrounded by many aunts, uncles, cousins & friends. In Lyndhurst, Rosalie met and married the love of her life, Otto J. Stellato in 1945. Mrs. Stellato was very artistic and appreciated beautiful things. She was an elegant and gracious hostess and the best cook in the family. The memories of her Thanksgiving, Christmas Eve and Easter dinners will always be treasured. Rosalie was a staunch believer in God, her family and her country. She had a special devotion to the Blessed Mother and prayed the rosary everyday. She volunteered in her community as a Boy Scout den mother and Brownie leader and was a member of the Lyndhurst Emblem Club for over sixty years. Rosalie was sadly predeceased by her young husband, Otto Stellato, in 1958 and by her sisters Guilida Pascrell & Eleanor Domanico. She is survived by her adoring children, Russell Stellato (Marianne) & Rosemary Pecoraro (John) and four grandchildren, Russell & Jeffrey Stellato, Philip Pecoraro (Marcie) and Monica Pecoraro and a great-grandson, Erik Stellato. Rosalie leaves behind sister-in-law Mae Stellato, brother-in-law Sam Angiuoli, and many loving nieces, nephews, cousins & friends who brought her great joy in life. She treasured her wonderful Italian family! Funeral Monday at 10 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Sunday 4-7 PM. Donations may be made in Rosalie's name to Sacred Heart Church, 324 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst NJ 07071.
