Salpetro, Rose (nee Tribuna), 88, of Fairfield passed away peacefully on Friday, September 2, 2011 surrounded by her loving family. She was born in Belleville, NJ, graduating from Belleville High School, before moving to Lyndhurst and then Fairfield in 1962. Rose was a member of St. Thomas More Church where she was a founding member of the Rosary Society and Choir member for over 30 years. Rose worked several part time jobs through the years, but her true love was being a homemaker. She enjoyed cooking Italian dishes for her family, especially during the holidays. Beloved wife of James Salpetro for 66 years. Loving mother of Joseph Salpetro, James Salpetro and wife Lynn, Frances Cialone and husband Chris. Cherished grandmother of Ryan Turner, Ian Turner, and Christopher Salpetro. Dear sister of Salvatore Tribuna and his wife Sally, sister-in-law of Mary and Pat Cavallo. Also survived by several nieces and nephews. Rose was predeceased by her parents and siblings Madeline Musco, Benjamin, Ralph and Angelina Tribuna. Rose will be missed by all. May she rest in peace. Funeral Tuesday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Funeral Mass 10AM St. Thomas More R.C. Church. Entombment Gate of Heaven Mausoleum. Friends will be received Monday 3-6PM.
