Rosemarie Cafiero

Rosemarie Auguste Emilie (nee Schnurr) Cafiero, 80, of Fairfield, New Jersey passed away on Sunday, February 18, 2018 at her daughters home in Butler, New Jersey. Beloved mother of Stephen & his wife Annette Cafiero, Grace Anne & her husband Frank Rivera, and Michael Cafiero & Carole. Cherished grandmother of Stephen Walsh, Coriann Cafiero, and Michael & Elizabeth Rivera. Adored great-grandmother of Emily. Dear sister of Herbert and the late Annegret Schnurr and daughter of the late Josef Rudolf and Lina Frida Schnurr (nee Kmmel). Rosemarie emigrated from Bremen, Germany in 1957 and was proud to become a naturalized U.S. citizen in 1964. Rosemarie had a passion for caring for animals and volunteered to help raise anything from guinea pigs to Seeing Eye Dogs. She devoted her life to rescuing animals for over 40 years, placing over 7000 animals with new families. She founded and operated Orphaned Pets for more than 25 years before co-founding Rosemaries Rescue Ranch. Donations may be made to either Rosemaries Rescue Ranch, P.O. Box 3191, W.
