Roy Samuel Gugger

Roy S. Gugger, age 81, peacefully passed away on September 21, 2020 within his home in Fort Lee surrounded by his loving family. Roy was born on July 26,1939, to Joyce and Earl Gugger and was a long-time resident of Northvale, NJ. He was a barber for over 30 years at Patsys barbershop in Closter, NJ. He then moved to Venice, Florida where he resided for 28 years.

Roy married his childhood sweetheart and was the beloved husband of Brenda Gugger for 60 years. He was a devoted father, grandfather, and great grandfather. He is survived by his loving wife, Brenda Gugger, daughter Dawn and his grandchildren, Kyle, Ryan, Kaitlyn and her husband Demitri, and great grandchild Stamatina. He is predeceased by his son Glen Gugger.

Roy loved spending time with his family, of whom he was enormously proud of. He was a strong patriarch, a great friend to all, and a man who enjoyed holding a conversation over a good glass of scotch. Roy was a man who loved immensely and who was loved even more. He will be missed beyond measure.
