Rudolph Esposito

Rudolph Joseph Esposito, a devoted family man and esteemed member of the Lyndhurst community, passed away peacefully on April 7, 2025, at the age of 96. Born on November 19, 1928, in Jersey City, New Jersey, Rudolph was a pillar of strength and kindness for all who knew him.

Rudolph dedicated a significant portion of his life to his career in retail, serving as a salesman. He brought his passion and integrity to every interaction, earning the respect and admiration of colleagues and customers alike. Beyond his professional life, Rudolph proudly served our country in the United States Navy from 1946, until his discharge in 1947. His service exemplified his dedication to the values of duty, honor, and sacrifice.

Rudolph was preceded in death by his wife Helen Esposito; and his siblings, Chivadella, Vito, Ida, Edward, Anthony, Gerald Esposito.

Rudolph is survived by his beloved children, Richard Esposito & his wife Audrey, Janet DeMarzo and her husband Michael, David Esposito & his wife Josephine, and Nancy Schaefer and her husband Robert; and his cherished grandchildren, David Esposito, Jr., Michael Esposito, and Carolyn DeMarzo. Also survived by his siblings, Alfred, Susan, and Gabriel, as well as many nieces and nephews. Each of them holds a special place in their hearts for the love and wisdom Rudolph imparted throughout his life.

A reflection of his enduring faith, Rudolph served as an usher at Sacred Heart Church in Lyndhurst, where he was a valued member of his parish community. His contributions to the church and his generosity have left an indelible mark on those who were fortunate enough to know him.

Visitation will be held on April 9, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, where family and friends are invited to pay their respects. A Mass in celebration of his life will take place on April 10, 2025, at 10:00 AM at Sacred Heart Church. Entombment to follow at Holy Cross Cemetery & Mausoleum, where Rudolph will be laid to rest.
