Russell T. Jehn

Jehn, Russell T., of Englewood Cliffs, on Thursday, December 30, 2004. Beloved husband of Catherine (Caye) nee Jahrling. Mr. Jehn was born in Union City and lived in Cliffside Park until moving to Englewood Cliffs 30 years ago. Mr. Jehn was the Englewood Cliffs Historian, Bergen County Volunteer of the Year in 1997, Editor of the Views on the Cliffs borough newspaper, author of History of Englewood Cliffs, a 209 page volume published in 1995 by Prentice Hall, author of Style Manual of Hudson Dispatch in 1961, retired copy editor of Hudson Dispatch for 30 years, and columnist, cartoonist on horseracing, "Andy Capp". He served in the Army Air Corp during World War II and was a three term president of Englewood Cliffs Senior Citizens and a present member of the Board of Directors and editor of that club's newsletter, The Gazette. Mr. Jehn was a member of the Printing, Publishing and Media Sector 14199, CWA member of American Federation of Musicians of United States and Canada AFL-CIO and a member of the Englewood Cliffs Demecratic Club. The funeral will be on Tuesday at 8PM at the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home 1601 Palisade Ave., Fort Lee. Interment will be in Brigadier General William C. Doyle Veterans Memorial Cemetery. Friends will be received at the funeral home on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm. Remembrances may be made to the Special Citizens' Futures Unlimited, 350 5th Ave., New York, NY 10001.
