Ruth M. Kearney

Ruth M. Kearney (nee Heismeyer), 88, of Bayville, NJ on Tuesday, August 4, 2009. Beloved wife of the late Patrick Kearney. Loving sister of Edith E. Hennig and the late Frederick C. Heismeyer. Dear daughter of the late Frederick & Ruth Heismeyer. Cherished aunt of Barbara & Stephen Sparta, Frederick & Joyce Heismeyer, Richard & Cindy Heismeyer & Bryan Hennig. Also survived by grand-nephews Frederick & Jack & grand-niece Rebecca. Mrs. Kearney graduated from Paterson State Teacher's College and went on to be a teacher for the East Rutherford Board of Education for 47 years. She was a 1st grade teacher in Lincoln School, E. Rutherford for 45 years, retiring in the late 1980s. Ruth lived in Lyndhurst since 1947, where she was a member of the Lyndhurst United Methodist Church. Upon moving to Bayville 14 years ago, she joined the Faith Community Methodist Church and was a member of it's Woman's Society and Day Apart. She was also a member of the Ocean Gate Seniors, Sonata Bay Singles, and the Red Hat Society. Funeral Services Saturday, August 8, 2009 at 10AM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, Lyndhurst. Interment Crest Haven Memorial Park, Clifton. Friends will be received Thursday 3-7PM at the Timothy E. Ryan Home for Funerals, O'Connell Chapel, 706 Atlantic City Blvd (Rt 9), Bayville & Friday 3-7PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst, NJ.
