Salvatore Joseph Marinello

Salvatore Joseph Marinello, 89, of Columbus, New Jersey, passed away on Saturday, January 9, 2021. Beloved husband of Dolores (nee Gonzelez) Marinello. Loving father of Anthony & his wife Carol Marinello and Salvatore Jr. & his wife Jill Marinello. Dear brother of Santa Prince and the late Patricia Padavano. Cherished grandfather of Gabrielle Hughes, Nicolette Hughes, Sofia Marinello, Douglas Herlihy, Ava Marinello and Lily Marinello. Adored great-grandfather of Caden Hughes. Also survived by many cousins, nieces & nephews. Mr. Marinello was retired from the Western Electric/AT&T Company. After retirement he opened and operated an "Antiques" business with Dolores for close to 25 years. He was a proud member of the NRA, IBEW Local 1470 and the North Jersey Wood Carvers where he won multiple honors nationwide for his wood carvings. He was an Army Veteran who served in the Korean War until the armistice. Friends will be received Wednesday 10:30AM-12:30PM at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass Wednesday 1PM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment St. Joseph's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Wounded Warrior Project, PO Box 758517, Topeka KS 66675.
