Sam Scerbo, 92, of Lyndhurst, NJ on Monday, September 30, 2013. Beloved husband of the late Ann Scerbo. Loving father of Antoinette Zelinsky, Joan Scerbo and Michael Scerbo. Dear brother of Gabe and Frank Scerbo. Cherished grandfather of Michael, Danielle, Christina & Lisa. Adored great-grandfather of 5. Mr. Scerbo was a decorated war veteran serving in the 82nd Airborn who fought valiantly on the beaches of Normandy and throughout Europe during World War II. He was the owner, with his father Joe and brother Frank, for over 65 years of J. Scerbo & Sons in Jersey City. Funeral Friday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10 AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Thursday 2-4 & 7-9 PM.
