Stacey "Anastasia" Bagdzinski

Stacey "Anastasia" Bagdzinski (nee Siavage), 93, of Lyndhurst, New Jersey, passed away on Tuesday, March 1, 2016. Beloved wife of the late Walter J. Bagdzinski. Devoted daughter of the late Benjamin & Cassie Siavage. Loving mother of Walter "Fred" & his wife Christine Bagdzinski. Dear sister of the late Robert & Gerry. Cherished grandmother of Pam & her husband Erik and the late Michael. Adored great-grandmother of Malcolm. Stacey was born in 1922 and raised in Eynon, PA with her brothers, Robert and Gerry. After graduating from hairdresser school and getting her NJ license, Stacey moved to NJ in 1947 to join with her aunt, Edna Nienstadt, at the Charm Beauty Salon on Union Avenue in Rutherford. Stacey married Walter J. Bagdzinski in 1948 and moved to Lyndhurst. Upon Edna's death in 1968, she owned the "Charm" until 1974. With her warm personality and her extended family, her home in Lyndhurst was the center of many family holiday gatherings. After retiring, she and her husband traveled to Italy, the Greek Isles, Las Vegas, Florida, Alaska, the Virgin Islands and New England. She was a frequent visitor to Atlantic City and enjoyed playing the slots. She attended church of St. Michael's Parish in Lyndhurst, was a member of the Rosary Society and was active with the St. Michael's Seniors bowling league. She also enjoyed the St. Michael's Seniors overnight trips to Pennsylvania, Delaware or Cape Cod. She was a caring mother to her son and grandchildren and attended daily Mass at St. Michael's when she could and prayed the rosary every day. She was a kind and gentle person supporting many charities. She will be missed. Funeral Saturday 10AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 11AM St. Michael's R.C. Church. Interment Holy Cross Cemetery. Friends will be received Friday 3-8PM. Donations may be made to University of Scranton, Michael B.
