Stephen C. Formica, 81, of Lords Valley, PA, formerly of Lyndhurst, NJ, on Wednesday, October 2, 2013. Beloved husband of Rosalie M. (nee Gedrimas) Formica. Loving father of Stephen A. & his wife Katherine Formica, Ellen & her husband Michael DeLuca, Marianne Newarski, and Joseph & his wife Tricia Formica. Dear brother of MaryAnn Shortino. Cherished grandfather of Jared, Stephanie, Travis, Krystle, Brittany, Melissa, Elena & Carmine Joseph. Adored great-grandfather of Mya & Rylan. Mr. Formica was a graduate of Lyndhurst High School, class of 1951. He was inducted into the Football Hall of Fame for receiving all state and all county in the same year. He was an Installer for Western Electric for 30 years before retiring. He drove an ambulance for the Hemlock Farms Fire & Rescue Squad 29 and was an Army Korean War veteran. Funeral Monday at 9 AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10 AM Sacred Heart R.C. Church. Interment Hillside Cemetery.
