Susan Lesley Drake

Susan Lesley Drake, 72, passed away suddenly on Wednesday December 20, 2023 at her home in Myrtle Beach, South Carolina. She was born on June 24, 1951 in Portsmouth, England to the late Francis John Drake & Peggy Joan Kitcher Drake.

Along with her parents, Sue is reunited in passing with her beloved son, Brian Keith Pisko.

Sue was a hardworking woman who proudly climbed the ranks in the insurance world, to become the Vice President of Disability Claims. Following her well-deserved retirement, Sue was able to enjoy the finer things in life. She enjoyed time spent making memories with family and friends and enjoyed time spent outdoors. Sue was a selfless and giving woman who enjoyed time spent shopping for and donating blankets, food and toys to her local animal shelter. Sue was also passionate about giving back to children in need and would gladly gather and donate toys to brighten their day. Above all else, Sue loved her family with her whole heart. She will be deeply missed.

Left to cherish Sue’s memory are her companion of many years, Francis “Frank” Gremsperger of Jefferson, New York; her sisters, Linda Ingledew of Camberley, England, Joanne Coiro and her husband, Frank of Fairfield, NJ & Deborah Drake of Montclair, NJ; her brother, Michael Drake and his wife, Patti of Murrells Inlet, SC; nephews, Mark, Christopher, Nicholas, Jesse & Daniel; nieces, Lisa, Lauren, Jessica & Samantha; her beloved pets, Simon, Tilly, Zoey, Fred & Sunshine; as well as a large, loving, extended family and many supportive friends and neighbors.

The family will gather to greet friends in celebration of Sue’s life on Thursday December 28, 2023 from 6:00PM until 8:00PM at Burroughs Funeral Home, 3558 Old Kings Highway, Murrells Inlet, SC 29576.

A second service in celebration of Sue’s life will be held on Thursday January 4, 2024 at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Rd, Fairfield, NJ 07004. The family will greet friends from 2:00PM until 4:00PM and again from 6:00PM until 8:00PM.

A funeral service will be held at 10:00AM on Friday January 5, 2024 at Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home and procession will lead to Gate of Heaven Cemetery, 225 Ridgedale Ave, East Hanover, NJ 07936, for burial.
