Thomas E. Caputo

June 14, 1953 — November 26, 2015

Thomas E. Caputo, 62, of Columbia, CT and Lodi, NJ, died suddenly on Thursday, November 26, 2015. Thomas was born on June 14, 1953, and raised in Union City, NJ. A graduate of St. Peter's Prep and Boston College, he pursued a career as a software specialist in the State Government of Connecticut, the American Broadcasting Company, and most recently, Verizon. He was predeceased by his parents, Joseph A. Caputo & Florence (Greiner) Caputo, as well as his brother Joseph A. Caputo, Jr., brother-in-law Vincent Savage, and sister-in-law Susan Agostinelli. Thomas was the beloved husband of Deborah (Agostinelli) Caputo, of Columbia, CT, and the devoted father to Douglas Caputo, of Atlanta, GA. He is also survived by loving sister Florence (Caputo) Savage of Edgewater, NJ, his dearest father-in-law Henry Agostinelli & wife Adua of Manchester, CT, beloved mother-in-law Maxine (Holmes) Manfreda of Glastonbury, CT, many in-laws, nieces, nephews, cousins, friends and co-workers. He was a reserved and extremely gentle soul of few words. When he did speak, those around him were sure to listen and absorb every word, as being in the same room as Thomas was always an enlightening experience. He was continuously imparting his wisdom and knowledge amongst his peers and loved ones. Thomas' wit and dry humor always helped to lighten everybody's troubles, big and small. Family and friends will be received Thursday, December 3rd, 4-7PM at the Hunt Stellato Funeral Home, 1601 Palisade Avenue, Fort Lee, New Jersey. Memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association, 5 Brookside Drive, Wallingford CT 06492.
