Dear brother of John and Timothy Tahaney, Annmary Gumble and the late Judith Sharkey and Patricia Carr. Cherished grandfather of Kimberly. Adored great-grandfather of Jaida. Mr. Tahaney was an Air Force Veteran and a member of VFW Post 4715 in Point Pleasant Beach. He was a security guard for Ocean County Parks Department in Toms River. Funeral Saturday at 9AM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Road, Lyndhurst. Funeral Mass 10:30AM St. Francis Xavier Chruch, Newark. Interment Gate of Heaven Cemetery, East Hanover.
