Thomas LaRusso, age 86 died on October 4, 2003 at Barnert Memorial Hospital in Paterson. Born in New York, he lived in Lyndhurst for 65 years. He was a World War II Navy veteran, serving the navy on convoy duty crossing the Atlantic and Pacific Oceans. He was a member of the Lyndhurst Taxpayers Association, The Friendship Club, American Legion Post 139, VFW Post 3549, The National Association of Letter Carriers, and the U.S. Armed Guard. He also served as a cub scout leader and high school umpire for many years. Thomas was predeceased by his wife Mildred (nee Bluhm) and son Wayne. He is survived by his daughter Deborah Pfeiffer of Lyndhurst and brother James LaRusso of Marlton as well as several nieces and nephews. The funeral service will be held at 11am Wednesday at the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 425 Ridge Rd., Lyndhurst. Friends will be recieved on Tuesday 2-4 & 7-9pm.
