Downs, Thomas P., 72, of Lincoln Park, New Jersey, formally of Wayne passed away after a long battle with heart disease on Friday, July 13, 2018. Devoted love of his life JillKarynne Hewitt. Dear brother of Maryann Schiffel & her husband Michael and the late Charles E. Downs, Jr. Loving Godfather and Uncle of Joseph M. Schiffel. Endeared uncle of Karen Ann Estelle & her husband Michael. He was predeceased by his parents Charles and Catherine Downs. Thomas was a custodian for the Montville Board of Education and also had a small landscaping business. Funeral Service Tuesday at 7PM from the Ippolito-Stellato Funeral Home, 7 Two Bridges Road, Fairfield. Private Cremation. Friends will be received Tuesday 4-8PM.
